SCOMET (Special Chemicals, Organisms, Materials, Equipment, and Technologies) refers to a regulatory framework in India under the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) that governs the export and import of sensitive items. The SCOMET list includes goods and technologies that could have implications for national security, defense, or could be used in the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
